Cornerstone Financial Planning is proud to have been designated a Certified B Corporation® in 2019. Over the past two years, we have been implementing practices and increasing our awareness, as we strive to exemplify the B Corp™ values. We recently learned that Cornerstone has been recognized as a “Best for the World 2021” company, meaning we have achieved the highest verified score in one of the five impact areas: Community, Customers, Environment, Governance, and Workers.
The impact area that we have been recognized for is ‘Best for the World: Workers’ which means that our best practices create positive impacts and enhance employee working conditions. Our work environment places an emphasis on better conditions for employees, but also marks the pace and sets an example for other businesses to follow regarding compensation, benefits, job flexibility, and worker health and safety practices.
According to the B Corp™ website receiving a Best for the World classification indicates the following: “These businesses are proving that competing not only to be the best in the world, but also the best for the world, is a winning strategy, and they can lead the way as more businesses continue to join the movement that is transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet.”
This esteemed designation indicates that Cornerstone Financial Planning is in the top 5% of companies of our size, globally! Cornerstone will continue to create and implement practices that enhance and build upon the foundational values of the B Corp™ designation.
