Jill will be one of three Certified Divorce Financial Analysts presenting a three-hour session entitled “Better Settlements in Divorce; The Use of a Financial Planner” at a New Hampshire Conflict Resolution Association (NHCRA) workshop on Friday, May 31st in Nashua, NH.
The speakers will discuss:
- The benefits of using a financial planner in divorce. Benefits include reducing fantasy and misunderstanding, saving time and money, avoiding financial pitfalls and minimizing post-divorce conflicts.
- How the financial professional fits into the process: why we should be brought in at the beginning, and what the process of working with us looks like.
- Highlights of areas where a financial planner provides value including property division, setting alimony, Social Security strategies, tax issues of child support, tax implications of keeping or selling the marital home and considerations for life, health and long-term care insurance.
- The 10 biggest mistakes that can be avoided with financial planning.
