April 22 is celebrated internationally as Earth Day. Though this day is celebrated once a year, we should truly all be striving to think about our environmental impact all 365 days of the year.
The Earth Day theme for 2024 is ‘Planet vs. Plastics’, propelling the message that we need to reduce plastic use and demanding a 60% reduction in the production of ALL plastics by 2040. This includes rapidly phasing out all single use plastics, pushing for a strong UN Treaty on plastic pollution, and a call to end fast fashion.
Cornerstone endeavors to limit our negative effects on the planet and aims to continue educating ourselves and our communities on alternatives to harmful practices.
