Three of Cornerstone’s planners attended the Fall 2021 NAPFA Conference in Boston, MA from October 13^th to the 16^th. Christina Traurig, Mackenzie Arsenault, and Sara Casale represented Cornerstone Financial Planning this year and joined many informational and robust presentations by professionals from across the country. 

Cornerstone Financial Planning is excited to share that our great state now has its own Maine B Corp™ website! This incredible resource is the result of many hours of volunteer efforts from employees of Certified B Corporations© and advocates across the state. 

When the team at Downeast Magazine approached Cornerstone about their upcoming B Corp™ issue, we were thrilled at the chance to help spread the word and educate others on the wonderful work that B Corps™ are doing worldwide!

On August 30^th the Cornerstone Team came together to spend some time volunteering with the Portland Trails Association (PTA.) This non-profit urban land trust is working to transform and maintain the over 100 acres of land that is held by the trust.

Cornerstone Financial Planning is proud to have been designated a Certified B Corporation® in 2019. Over the past two years, we have been implementing practices and increasing our awareness, as we strive to exemplify the B Corp™ values. We recently learned that Cornerstone has been recognized as a “Best for the World 2021” company, meaning we have achieved the highest verified score in one of the five impact areas: Community, Customers, Environment, Governance, and Workers.

Gender pronouns are words that a person would like others to use when talking to or about them. Nothing may be more personal than how people refer to us through our names and pronouns. Using a person’s chosen name and desired pronouns is a form of mutual respect and basic courtesy. Celebrating diversity and welcoming all individuals is something that Cornerstone holds in high regard.

As you may be aware, we employ Dimensional Advisor Funds in many of our portfolios. We are strong proponents of their investing process. Today we learned they are among the first investment management firms to receive a Climate Neutral Operations Certification from South Pole, a climate solutions provider of carbon offset purchases.
